I?m a self-employed electrician, and I?m going crazy trying to keep track of all the credit card payments I?m taking for jobs at the moment. Once I go onsite and do a job, I usually end up taking down my customer?s credit card number, and then when I get home that night use my bank?s web site to get the payment processed. I?m probably spending at least 2 hours every couple of nights doing this, and it?s driving me nuts. The other day, I took down the wrong credit card number so to add insult to injury had to go back and ask the customer again for the number. A couple of weeks ago I charged a job to the wrong credit card number, which caused a bit of a ruckus with the card?s owner. Does EVERYONE have the same issue with this? There must be a better way!!!??

Funding for Startups

I?ve got an amazing business idea, and have already started to develop this into a product. I saw my bank the other idea to try to get a loan to get a business started and they helped me put together a business plan, which was great. Out of that, I discovered that I needed quite a bit more up-front investment than I thought to get a factory tooled up to produce my widget. Any ideas on where best to go for this?

BAS return ? I?m behind on these and am starting to receive ominous letters from the ATO. Problem is I?m confused by the paperwork and need some help. Anyone recommend a good business accountant in the North Ryde area?

Tips on Raising Capital

We?re an established food manufacturer, specialising in the emerging mobile-nibbles market place. We?ve seen some unprecedented growth in demand for our nibbly treats in the last year or so, to the extent where we can?t keep up with the demand from our existing factory on the outskirts of Brisbane. My partner and I have decided that we need to extend our factory, but trouble is this will be an expensive undertaking and we don?t have quite enough cash in reserve to pay for this extension outright. Not only that, but I?m afraid that if we don?t do this properly it?ll affect our ability to make anything at all. So, we?ve decided that we need to go out to the market to raise some capital to construct a larger deep-fry factory. My question is ? what is the best way to go about doing this? Do we just go to the bank, or are there other ways to find someone to invest?

Benefits of the new Superannunation Regulations

Now that the new government regs around superannuation have come into force, what does everyone think the main benefits of these are? I?d be interested in figuring out if I should increase my contributions to my super or continue to invest these in other high-yeild investments elsewhere. Anyone have a view on this?
