Tips on Raising Capital

We’re an established food manufacturer, specialising in the emerging mobile-nibbles market place. We’ve seen some unprecedented growth in demand for our nibbly treats in the last year or so, to the extent where we can’t keep up with the demand from our existing factory on the outskirts of Brisbane. My partner and I have decided that we need to extend our factory, but trouble is this will be an expensive undertaking and we don’t have quite enough cash in reserve to pay for this extension outright. Not only that, but I’m afraid that if we don’t do this properly it’ll affect our ability to make anything at all. So, we’ve decided that we need to go out to the market to raise some capital to construct a larger deep-fry factory. My question is – what is the best way to go about doing this? Do we just go to the bank, or are there other ways to find someone to invest?

Fred – give me a call, I’d be happy to help out. We have a range of products that might suit

I got a loan from my brother in law to put in a new welding bay. Never again – he now refers to that bay as ‘his’ even though I paid that loan back a couple of years ago. He’s insufferable, and wants to use it all the time (he’s making a deep sea drilling rig to go prospecting in the gulf of Carpentaria). I suggest doing it the proper way and putting a case to your bank. Assuming the business case stacks up, you should be fine. And if it doesn’t then you shouldn’t be doing it anyway.
